I've learned great concepts on internet marketing. One of the things you'll learn is how to host and register a domain, but not only this..You'll also understand about the search engine optimization, campaigns using email and how to monetize your website or even your own blog! The Internet Marketing class is very useful and informative. I was able to immediately put into action many of the strategies and concepts that were taught. Steve Eisenberg, the instructor, is very knowledgeable. He presents information in an interesting and easy-to-grasp manner. I'm recommending this class to anyone seeking information on how to successfully market their products or services online. The next class begins in September 2009. Be sure to register early!

Week 2 - Compare Domain Name Services

I compared Godaddy.com, 1and1.com and Moniker.com. I've purchased domain names at Godaddy and it worked perfect for me. As of Thursday, May 14, 2009 Godaddy.com is offering new domain names for $1.99, Moniker.com offers one year for $7.97 and finally 1and1.com has domains for $6.99/year.

Week 1 - Net Neutrality

Acoording to CommonCause.org, Net Neutrality is the principle that Internet users should be able to access any web content they want, post their own content, and use any applications they choose, without restrictions or limitations imposed by their Internet service providers (ISPs).

In my opinion, Net Neutrality is essential and reinforces the freedom of speech as well as it guarantees a trully democratic participation.

Week 4 - Add Adsense Ad to Your Blog

Week 5 - Affiliate Questions

In order to complete today's assignment I chose to join LinkShare.com because of their search engine optimization. The Affiliate Marketing Programs helps to find and retain more new customers as the profits increases. They also have an interesting management of search marketing investments.

a. What is the fee or commission structure?

There is a flat fee and a per click rate but the payment may be subject to other conditions.

b. How frequently are payments made to affiliates?

Publishers receives four payments a month while advertisers only once in every 30 days.

c. Are there any restrictions on the types of marketing tools an affiliate can use?

I did not find any restrictions on marketing tools but any press release or other public announcement shall require the prior written approval of LinkShare.

d. What are terms under which the merchant can terminate the affliate agreement?

Either parties can terminate with or without a cause at any time.
